Hi All,
I noticed a clicking sound from the front of the engine on tickover and assumed it was the fan catching on something, upon closer inspection i can see sparks coming from the distributor cap (hence the clicking!), i was wondering if this requires attention straight away or can it wait? i have a long trip up north next weekend and was wondering if i need to resolve before hand. also what is required to resolve? cost etc
Many thanks
Distributor Cap

ive just done my dizzy cap and rotor arm, they came to about Ԛ£50 from ECP
prob get them cheaper if you shop around. you'll no doubt be losing power too so i'd get it done as soon as...

do the dizzy or you could be left stranded on your trip my bosch one was a tad over Ԛ£30 from gsf ...but the dizzy cap has nothing to do with the petrol smell sounds like you have a dodgy pipe and if your dizzy is sparking just hope that your pipe is not to near it or you wont need the 4th emergency service on your trip but one of the others in a big red lorry...good luck

ffs sort the fuel leak & the dizzy cap. You will be wrecking your engine as it is.
or just ignore it and carry a large supply of fire extinguishers !
