Hi,
Have just aqquires a 325i which is just for track work, aside from stripping and suspension what are you guys using for a little extra grunt?
(its an 88 325i 2dr non sport.)
plenty of chips/induction kits on ebay but do they actually work?
obviously the car doesnt have the LSD (yet) which ratio is best.. not arsed about top speed just want acceleration.
cheers
Paul

sounds good so far..
assume cam swap is pretty easy on m20?
(last cam i swapped was on a mini (austin) and was a right bitch...
what sort of power does that cam/ chip combo give?

Once a cam change has taken place no generic chip can bring out the best of the engine. You need a custom remap.
6 branch manifolds are a great idea for cars. Its especially good for track use as the car tends to stay at the top end of the rev range where most of the gains are made.
A Large Cone/Foam filter again going to give some top end gains but get one with an internal trumpet as this is guranteed to improve power. The only one I know of is the ITG one.
Finally do something like a MAF conversion or go standalone. The megasquirt ECU can do this and its very cheap.
Al of the above products will be available from the E30Zone shop which will hopefully be up and running this week.
