Try disconnecting the battery again, leave it for a bit longer maybe and try it then?

right mate ive just read through my manual for you, apparently pppp is a fault reading on the display because the power to the on board computer has been interrupted, e.g "when changing or diconecting the battery, all stored data will be erased" im sure someone on here will know what to do but what it says in my handbook is to contact your local bmw garge, " i wonder why"? Ԛ£Ã”šÃ‚£Ãƒ”šÃ‚£Ãƒ”šÃ‚£'s im pretty certain that somone knows how to help you but i just wanted you to know why your computer screen is reading pppp, good luck matey

Have you got a hand book , all the details for resetting in there , very easy to do I think you can still buy the handbook from the dealers

i do have a handbook and it says if ppppp or aaaaa is displayed refer to your dealer ,what a suprise !! the problem was a fault rather than resetting the functions ,anyway all sorted now , pulled the power to the unit then plugged it back in with the ignition on and it cleared the problem .keith52 wrote:Have you got a hand book , all the details for resetting in there , very easy to do I think you can still buy the handbook from the dealers
