2.7 Chip

Just like to say big thanks to Ant, Ive just put the new chip which Ant did for me for my 2.7 and what a difference its made, i previously had a chip in the car that i bought off German ebay and it was useless could not notice any difference at all performance wise,and crap idle, But Ants is great idle, smooth take up right to the red line superb, so highly recommended dont bother buying from any where else, support the zone and know your getting the best bang for your bucks, cheers Dave

Cheers for being the test mule dave, I know whaer to go when I build mine. Are you using standard injection then apart from the chip? No higher fuel pressure or bigger injectors?

Hi Widge mate, standard injectors and fuel pressure at the moment, but ive got a different head to go on with my 284 cam yet so see how she runs then, possibly make changes then but i think it will be fine without larger injectors etc, will keep you posted mate, cheers Dave

Hi Tw166y, The chip cost Ԛ£55 including postage, bargain compared to other sources that supply chips! but also dealing with Ant you know what your getting is genuine,lets face it anybody can say they have programed a chip and take Ԛ£Ã”šÃ‚£Ãƒ”šÃ‚£ of you, you just cant tell till its fitted and if its crap then its too late youve allready paid for it, the difference in performance i suppose can only truly be measured on the rooling road, but driving the car seat of the pants stuff, it feels smoother, noticeably better tickover and the responce pickup feels quicker, so get sent off for your chips ,and as Ant says SALT AND VINEGAR SIR, cheers Dave. PS the German firm was called DRS SYSTEMS they advertise on german ebay, useless!
