hey all, i have power steering but thats non existant! tooooo bloody heavy, its like having a work out whilst parking :cry: :cry:

i wanted to find out if its the rack or the pump etc, there no fluid in there watsoever - how can i check to see which one has given up and not working..??

how easy isit to replace these parts? my mot is on the 24thfeb so i wanna sort sumint out before it

Put some fluid in and see where it comes out. Squeeze the rubber bellows on each end of the rack. If oil comes out, then the rack has failed. Unfortunately if you've been running the pump dry, I wouldn't offer you very much for that either.
Either part is easy to change, if the track rod ends co-operate, but you will need to adjust the tracking afterwards.

fill up the bottle, and see if thereԚ´s a difference.
