1991 Paint colours?

Hi,

Brand new here, just bought an e30 after ditching my e46 (e36 before that). Does anyone know what colours of red were available on 1991 e30s?? can't seem to find the name of the colour on mine. Reasaon I ask is I need 2 new wing mirrors. I've spotted some on ebay in zinnobar red?? anyone else got any other colours of red?

this may help mate, open the bonnet look on the passenger side suspension turret, there will be a sticker on it with your bmw colour on it, its in german tell me it and i will tell you the colour, if you cannot work it out, this is the most efficent way and correct way to identify the colour code.

according to www.paintscratch.com (a link given to me by a kind fellow zoner) there are

Henna Red code= 052
Calypso Red code = 252/253
Bright Red code = 308

I have limited german knowledge but i assume bright red would be Hell Rot or something simliar

SO you should have a code summat like 308/6 but remember there are different variants, but for mirrors it should be fine, but if you ever need to paint a panel.. have fun matching it!
