Tried to remove the rear wishbones to fit the M3 stuff I've just bought and was stumped when the handbrake cable outers were seized solid. Had to put the old kit back on for work this week.

Has anyone had the same problem? It looks like the rear beam will have to be removed to get at the problem. (might as well fit poly bushes at same time now though).

Is it likely to be a nightmare or should I just butcher them out? I have new ones from the M3.

Thanks.

Removing handbrake outers requires lots of penetrating oil soaking and even after that may require extreme violence and /or use of a blowtorch.
Hub end can be removed with a parrallel pin punch if you cut and remove the inner cable first.
