Guys.... I want to go electric. Engine-driven fans are so 1960's!!
Anyone running a lekky fan on an M20?? What do you recommend?
Cheers
Stuart.

Unless you're doing an engine conversion and need the space, you'll gain nothing, but if you insist, then the fan from an E34 5 series or a 7 series with aircon fits perfectly with just the addition of two small metal brackets.
Use the thermoswitch as well if you've got a replacement radiator which will have the mounting boss.
Relay and fuse positions are all present in the fusebox, and easily wired.

Position it so that one of the rubber mounting blocks is half way up at the left hand side, looking into the front of the car, and drill a hole for this block in the metal upright to the left of the radiator opening, again looking into the front of thr car.
It will then be obvious where and what shape the two small brackets must be. The top one gets a bit involved with the plastic top radiator bracket, which will need a bit of modding.
This is the set up I used on my M50.
