Need some help lads, an e36 318is has dropped into my lap (as they do) it has had a big smash and the engine has been sold. If there are any e36 experts on here what parts can i use on my e30 project?
h/brake shoes?
rear shocks?
front/rear calipers?
front/rear antiroll bars?
pas rack?
I know these cars are very different and some of the parts might need modifying. cheers

Front seats, with a fair bit of work on the mounts.
PAS rack, as long as it clears whatever exhaust manifold is on your project.
Electric headlamp adjusters can be made to fit E30.
Rear suspension if it's a coupe.
Front struts etc. can be fitted, but not a straight forward swap.

Is that everything or are there brake parts that are interchangeable that you are not sure about

Not sure about most of it. I have an E36 semi scrapper here, and most bits look that little bit to much different to be used. Others may know different.
Thought of one other minor part - The electric window switches can be fitted to an E30, and look better.

Rear suspension if it's a coupe.
Really? i thought it was only compacts as all others have Z-link rear sus. Or are you saying that you could fit z link to a e30? a la Z1?

No, I mean compact. Coupe / compact - they both begin with C. I've had a hard week and the kids are home for six weeks......
