Wallows like a yank

Took my 325 cab for its mot thursday, first time i've driven it as had to do a bit of work to it when i got it. It doesn't seem to be as tight and responsive in the corners as my 318 coupe. I know the cabs a bit weightier. Would replacing the bushes help? If so which ones?

It depends on you. I would say polly bush all round but I like a bone bracking ride. Others will say to to the steeler as the ride will have been tighter twenty odd years ago. Do you intend track time?

over the last year , two mot's ive changed all the bushes, links, front wishbones and ball joints,

my car is tight but not overly hard, one of the most noticeable was the rear wishbone bushes.

what jobs have you done on it? anything that might have put the tracking out? front suspension work? may still need checking.

Hadn't done anything to the suspension before the mot, failed on wear on a front ball joint but changed that now, won't be doing any track time so i think its a trip down the stealers for a handful of bits. What do you suggest changing?

As surgestid rear trailing arm bushes are a big change I would also do arb bushes and droplinks. I'm in no position to by every bush at once so am doing them all over time. Shuld you be ritch (ritcher than I) it makes sence to bye the lot at once and get them all changed together. Shuld see a grate improvment.
If nothing has been done could be sloppy dampers. I think I would allways by bilstine but I suffer from brand loyaltey sometimes and I'm shore BMW dampers will cut the musterd.

i suggest you do the anti roll bushes front and rear + drop links

check the rear topmounts, i think the e46 ones are an upgrade, and some one is selling a pair (poss sam325is)

rear dampers (gas)

did you do front wishbones? lollypop bushes?

rear trailing arms(wishbones) bushes, you might want a garage for this? and rear subframe bushes at the same time would be good

Nice one, cheers guys, not minted but will try and get as much as i can afford. Hongkongfuey, do i need a garage for the rear wishbones because they need pressing out? luckily i have a kind ol uncle that has a press in his garage if this is the case.

I think the rear trailing arms bushes are easy enough to do no press needed. I think u could do with this link mate here u can check everything out before going to the stealers and how things fit.
