Hi guys. Bought a auto engine sometime ago now and have decided to strip it down to get it ready for my car. The first problem Ive come up against is fitting it to my engine stand I need to remove the torque converter. How do I do this and do I require any special tools?
Thanks

the T-Converter is held to the Flexplate( fly ) with 3x17mm headed bolts dude.
remove the lower sump extension , and then rotate the engine so the hole in the flexplate is @ the bottom, you should see the bolts, undo-rotate-undo rotate-undo,
with the 3 bolts out, the TC will be free, they do need to be levered out occasionally, but you'll see when you get that far
Enjoy
