hi im having a problem with my shifter it keeps rubbing on the sid of my console when i put it in reverse
Any ideas of what i could do to fix it and we just changed transmission mounts they were sheered
issue with shifter

Have a look in the tech articles http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... echnz3.htm for the Z3 short shift mod.
If you don't fancy doing the short shift mod (it is worthwhile) then replace all the other parts on the list and you'll have a nice slick gearshift without the wibbly wobblyness

The main culprit will be the gear selector rod joint, it sits on the end of the gear selector shaft on the back of the gearbox but you might as well change the lot while you have it in bits.
