Hi,
I've been having problems sorting my brakes out in my 325i. First of all i replaced the master cylinder and bled all the air out with a pressure bleeder. there was a slight improvement but still not good.(and gradually got worse again) then i would put a clamp on each calliper and test drive for each corner to try and find a seized piston in one of the callipers, but no improvement. the only time they seem to work right is when i pull the handbrake up one notch and then hit the brakes. Also i have abs if this makes any difference
any help would be really apprieciated as i need to get her through the test and back on the road.

The only possible connection I can think of between the handbrake and the foot brake is if a rear wheel bearing had gone, allowing the disc to move around, and knocking the pads back further than they should. Handbrake parky on might just hold the disc steadier. Not at all likely, but the only connection!
Air in the ABS unit can be difficult to get out. The ABS valves need to be activated electrically while bleeding the system in theory, but a good hard braking session on gravel might move the air into the lines where it can be bled by conventional means.

Don't see why not. ABS unit doesn't know if the two cylinders are in line or side by side.
