stretched cable? dodgy catch? please help its done me head in, also ive bought a wiper stalk from iain (HARTGE) can any body tell me if its a straight forward swap any diagrams available on how to change it, cheers people

Hi i came to my sport this moring, went to put some oil and water in etc... pull the bonnet catch from inside the car and nothing happened, gave it another tug and still nothing, i then went to the front and lifted it up from the front and with a little persuasion it suddenly popped up, does anyone know why its started doing this? stretched cable? dodgy catch? please help its done me head in, also ive bought a wiper stalk from iain (HARTGE) can any body tell me if its a straight forward swap any diagrams available on how to change it, cheers people

first place to check is the catch itself, it could just be gummed up with dirt, give it a clean and a good WD40 soak, then followed by a nice coat of spray white lithium gease.
