Brake pad worn lights

my brake pad worn light on my 90 325i sport has decided to take a mind of it's own this last couple of weeks even thought the pads r ok they come on sometimes when i hit bumps and other times they'll be there as soon as i turn the key. the brake fluid is spot on 2 anyone any ideas. :cry:

It could be the brake pad wear sensors playing up, about Ԛ£4 each and there's 2.

yeah, euro car parts supply the brake wear sensors, and they are very easy to replace, the pretty much just click in and out and then plug into the wiring loom by a very easy to seperate connector. If this doesnt do the trick you may have to trace the wiring form the connectors back into the engine bay. its possible that they have perished at one point and just needs patching which can happen with old rubber sheathed wires in hot places like the engine bay.

You will find the brake wear sensors are on the front passenger side caliper and the rear drivers side i believe.
