318 still got misfire

still got a misfire on idle on the car its only slight like a put....put when running and goes away when revved and under load checked for vacuum leaks and hoses for splits and found none, cleaned ICV and throttle plate and afm still does it, changed leads and plugs still does it any ideas? i think the base idle mixture has been played with and its running very rich on idle anyone knwo how to adjust maybe a failsafe ie completely closed and then turn so many times ?

You can get the mixture sorted on a imissions test, the reading will come up on the dial and you can adjust it at the afm. Also stick a new fuel filter in and then put some decent injector cleaner in the fuel, should help. I used some stuff you can buy in Autocare called, "Nitrous" in a bottle. Good stuff and help's bring back some life to the engine.

I have same similiar problem, my cam is a bit worn so its causing what sounds like a missfire, not quite a missfire just gas's not getting out properly.

deffo a misfire as the engine moves a bit at the time of the noise

reckon im gonna bin the engine and drop the 323 one in ive got as it will be easier than diagnosing this one !!!!
