Hi Guys,
I put in a 276 cam, but my buddy in a stock 325i still whips me... i am getting approx. 104kw's on the rears...
What could be wrong ?????
whats wrong with my cam 276...

I believe so... the car accelerated much smoother when it was standard... only thing i got out of all of this is a lumpy idle...

i would suggest timing and valve clearance mate

longer duration = higher requirement for fuel.
could be you're leaning out M8 due to the increased airflow from the cam profile.
assuming mechanically its all correct, check the dizzy cap and rotor too M8, can wear real bad all of a sudden.
TBH I'd suggest if you've had the car on a dyno see what the fuel curve is saying M8, if you want power it should be above stoich, say 0.950 lambda , any figure over the magic one is lean dude, and thats no good for go or engine longevity.
If you were seeing figs in the 0.850 range I'd have concerns its running rich and strangling the engine
the figs above are guidance only, not gospel BTW, they do tell you what you need to know though
check and come back dude

I wonder if it revs better lower down the revs or @ the top of the revs.
When I was messing with my setup it was leaning out @ full revs and the acceleration was affected.
