A few people on here have done this...

You need special mounts from Karan/e30.de, e28 535i rad, M3 prop (or combination prop), all the ancillaries.

There are a few more bits which you need but that's all I can think of!

I hope to be doing mine in the near future.

Toby_Unna and Andy335iTouring have 335i conversions, the biggest thing is the prop, the mounts and the bulkhead adjustment with a hammer:D. The other important thing is which revision of the engine it is, the earlier ones have the sump located further back on the engine, this interferes with the subframe (ie it don't fit) and would need to be swapped (not very cheap as you need to change the oilpump (well pickup at least))

Is the gearbox with it? Later engines used a pulse sensor on the front crank damper, earlier lumps used 2 sensors on the bellhousing, meaning if it is an older engine you need to either change that over along with the ECU of source an old gearbox with the sensor mounts.

Power wise they are 218bhp new with oodles of torque..

Have a look at:

Bit more info on there, take the e30.de site with a pinch of salt, they are wrong on some things.

i can get mounts done for Ԛ£130 each now....at NO profit to myself in higher quality than the e30.de ones only for the later e34 engines though ehich is the one u wanna be using neway as it drops straight in and is the most powerful
