Just a simple one, but need to get an awnser quick!

I hoisted my IS engine up and power cleaned it all and used engine cleanerl. Making sure that i cover the TB and all electrics, intakes etc. I let it dry in the sun and went to lower it bakc down onto the garage floor and water (or what smelt like water and engine cleaner that i used) poored out a hole in the bottom of the gearbox.

Just a bit worried, the water couldnt have penetrated into the box could it? Im unsure if this is oil, or water, and eitherway if its fcked the box up. Sure was a good glass worth of water that came out

Anyone?

Cheers

it was prob just water that got into the bell housing. not too familiar with the setup of the the bell house on the car but just as a precaution i'd check that the gearbox bolts are tight and there is no gap where the water could have got down 8O

The bellhousings aren't really sealed, just have a splash / finger guard to stop shite from being pumped in there as you go along.
