Hi All,

Have a fairly major gearbox leak on my 325 racecar. Any ideas of where it could be coming from and how much to fix?

Thanks,
Dan

As a guess it is most likely to be the gear selector seal, it dribbles down onto the output flange and gets flung everywhere.

You need to have a good look under there to decide where it's coming from because it could also be the output flange seal itself, the OEM parts button at the top takes you to the genuine parts section where a BMW main dealer can quote you on the parts delivered to your door.

Ok
It is above and slightly forward of the rubber doughnut that the prop shaft is bolted to, it's worth having a look at that too while your under there because if its cracked or has any bits missing you could do with a new one... For that I would only fit a genuine one, the cheapo's don't last on the road so on the track it would be mullered in no time.

The selector seal is number 17 and 13 is the output seal
