bought a new battery from halfords in augest last year. i had the stereo on and the fan radiator on but the car was in ignition for 10mins, then all of a sudden my car wouldnt start flatten battery. went in the boot to charge it up and on the battery cover it was wet water was leaking inside, but from where ???
and normally the battery wouldnt last for that long it would last for more with the ignition on, do you think the water leak may have resulted a flatten battery ?
thanks.

Don't know if the leak would have killed the battery. But when I had a boot leak, I had water on top of my battery cover and it was coming through the rear light seals. They cost about £10 and take about 15 minutes to replace
But it could be the main boot rubber seal also.
I'd remove the battery and its bottom tray sharpish as It will be like a swimming pool in there

Boot rubber seal, rear lights rubber seal, check the aerial to make sure its all sealed up correctly (run your finger on the inside where the aerial is) or failing that check the drainage pipes from the sunroof that run to the boot.
