Hello all

I bought my 88 325i convertible a while ago but having looked at the V5 for some info on its 1st reg date i noticed its full title is 325i convertible Sport! I was under the impression BMW only made the Sport in coupe form,am i wrong? And if i am wrong does anyone know how many of these things were built?
Many thanks
Steve

Thanks for posting the thread, unfort my one def isn't a Motorsport model

Its an old chrome bumber model but it seems to have alot of kit on it like full leather Recaro's,cruise control, old style rubber boot spoiler and 12 button OBC. Just seems strange that the V5 holds it as a Sport model?

yep!
kits from the saloon cars need to be moded to fit the cabs, but it can be done. Ԛ£1300ish new from the dealer, anything from Ԛ£350 - Ԛ£550 2nd hand depending on condition etc.
I *think* there were some motorsports with out the mtech II kit...
Bharat will be along soon to tell you what's what...

Ask the dealer, there was an option code that defines it as a sport, you could try to do a search on it. Best bet is to wait a while and the guys in the know will be along and answer your questions.

Take the reg and chassis number to a dealer and they can tell you what car it is, what options it had when first sold etc etc.

Most unusual to say anything on V5, even authentic sports and Motorsports dont actually state it on this document!
If you whip your rear bench seat out and turn it over there is label that will tell you what manufacture number out of 250 yours is. IF it is one that is.....Good luck matey.

Well not in my experience they dont, last car was a sport , now i own a Motorsport cab. Both kosher..., Vin numbers confirm but nothing on V5. This has been discussed on here recently and the general concenus was then was nothing stated. ( but DVLA are a peculiar lot, aint they?)
Whip yer seat out matey for quick peace of mind! let us know.
