i have a pretty dead prop dounut/couplermagig on my e30 , it was in pretty much new condition when i did the manual convo 2 months ago , so to save the hassle of changing them every 2 months i was thinking about making a solid one up out of steel or ally , i cant decide if this is a good idea or not !
is it possible to do this and what are the pro's and con's of doing somthing like this
cheers nick

Did you fit it correctly, or for driving in reverse?

il have a look at the center bearing today , im unshure of the rotation as it was fitted to the manual prop when i brought it , should there be a rotationial arrow on it ?
i was blaming the death on the fact its a drift car so gets alot of cluch kicking abuse ect. I still think that even with a good center bearing i will be killing dounuts due the the abusive driving
cheers nick

Not rotational arrows, but an arrow on the outer edge, by each bolt hole, that must point towards the flange it is bolted to.
Two months is about the life of one fitted wrongly.
