Going to Manchester tomorrow to see Oasis in concert,and have got a few problems with my car!
Its a 316i M40.Ive just fitted a replacement engine(88,000ml)along with new clutch,cambelt/tensioner and waterpump.Everything was going well untill going for a long test run tonight!
It was running sweet for about 15 miles,temp gauge sat perfectly at a quarter(always sat at half before)no sign of any problems,but then i went to switch the heater temp dial from cold to hot and it was freezing!
Pulled in at garage and checked water level and it was as i last checked.
Tried bleeding it again(done 3 times at home already and seemed fine ticking over for 25mins),anyway couldnt get any air out so just took it easy home!
Thats when problem 2 started!
Coming to the end of the slip road,going down through the gears,and they seemed really notchy
Now they have always been really smooth before.Havent tried bleeding the clutch yet,but will in the morning,but could that be the problem,as i didnt disconect the slave cylinder,just unbolted it from the box?
