I'm driving a 1988 E30 316 m10b18 caburetor.

i'm planning to put in M52b28 engine.

Have a rumage through the engine swaps section, there is a sticky devoted to M50 conversions, then come back to us with any specific issues.Engine fits OK,but there are various issues and solutions, depending on your level of expertise and skills.

No insurmountable problems involved, but suspension, brakes and fuel system won't be up to the job, so you're effectively just starting with just a trimmed shell.
