How to remove instrument cluster & dashboard..........??

Probably pretty easy to do, but i havent got a clue

Glovebox, centre console and lower steering column shroud allready removed, plus disconnected wiring loom as required i think...... could'nt see how to get upper steering column shroud off, seems tight, plus do i have to remove instrument cluster first as well, have removed the 2 small screws, then got stuck here as well, what should i do now to remove cluster?

I have already removed 4 no 10mm bolts, 2 no on a bracket attached to each 'A' pillar and another 2 (1 underneath dash where glovebox should be, 1 under dash by steering column).

Dash now seems loose, what am i missing out, whats still connected?

Instrument cluster surround is held by two self tapers at the top and two at the bottom.Lower one's are hidden behind the panel above the column and below the cluster.This,in turn,is removed by reaching behind it and removing two knurled nuts.You should then be able to bring the cluster forward to reach behind to remove the two or three plugs for the wiring.There is a blue one,a white one and a green one if you have an OBC.Regarding the dash,you may now be able to release the wiring harness from it's clips,have you taken out the heater control panel? Some people claim to be able to manouvre the dash over the column,I found that I damaged the stalks this way,so either remove the stalk controls or the two security bolts that retain the upper column.Put the heater sliders into the centre postion,then lift the dash in the middle and draw it towards you to release it from the heater box.

No i have'nt removed the heater control panel, should i before i do anything else?

last dash i took out was for an m3 in a body shop

had to put the thing back in then when the scuttle repair was done

take note of what goes where when you want to put it back in

and its easyer to unclip the cables for the heater control

becare when doing this though
