any used polyurethan ball joint covers to cover split ball joint boots?

If they have split then its probably best to change the joint as the grease will have come out and the dirt and grit will have got in which will likely ruin the ball joint in a short time.

yeah

Fitted them to mine just recently(before a trip to the ring)

Cleared out as much of the old grease as possible and repacked with fresh grease then fitted the boots

No problems as yet

Thanks for the info. I will give them a go. the ball joints and tie rods are good, i tore them using a pickle fork tool while replacing the springs.
