The usual getreg gearbox noise, when I press the clutch it goes away. So I had the gearbox open to change the clutch and changed the release bearing, just because it comes with the kit. I was initially lead to beleieve that the rattle would be from a layshaft bearing, so I didn't think it would make much difference, but now its loader than before. Have I done something wrong, The clutch is fine working as it should, but there is weird noise coming from it when my foot is off the clutch. Was I meant to put oil on the release bearing, or is there something missing. The bearing just sits inbetween the bar that is pushed when the clutch is pressed. sorry if it all a little confusing.

you only need to put a film/smear of grease on the shaft then put the release bearing on,
did you check the spigot bearing in the end of the crank?
did you put any stress on the input shaft getting the gearbox off and on?
