Couple of q's.
1. Is the glass in the frame normally held in with glue or silicone?
2. Can the glass be replaced by lighter weight material and if so who would supply it?
It's because I've started to do our de-chroming, and the rear window replacement is the only job left.
I started by taking the window off the car and found that the glass seems to be slide in, so began very gently bending the inside frame back bit by bit, but it's taking ages. I've got another frame ready for the glass to go in, but it's a painful task. I didn't know whether to just paint the chrome bit instead??
Anybody else done a similar mod? If the worst comes to worst, can a replacement glass or window be sourced?
