im currently looking for some alloys for my 1987 320i what offset should they be?
iv been looking at some 15" 7j with an offset of et30 would these fit and what tire size would you recomend the car is lowered 40mm all round.
i am very greatfull of any help at all.

offset should be et24, et30 will fit, but they might rub on full steering lock, any chance you could test fit them first?

205 / 55 are factory spec for 7J 15" rims, but many use 205/50 for a little extra stiffness.

I think 205 / 55 is spot on for 40mm drop, fills the archs just right

no they are for sale on ebay without tyres. i might just take the gamble. thanks for your help.

Et30 on a 7j rim on an e30 will no doubt rub on full lock
use 5mm spacers and you will be fine

If you go for them and there is rubbing, you could always try spacers - just make sure you get good quality ones, I think the zone shop sells eibach spacers
