i have removed the front suspension legs off my spare e30 but can i take the shockers off ??
they seems to be on rock solid !!
when purchasing a suspension i am assuming you only get shockers and springs and they have to be fitted to the legs so there must be a tool to remove them??

Whack the strut housing in a vice and loosen the lock nut with the biggest set of stilson grips you can lay your hands on.
