Hi peeps i recently bought an obc and have just finished fitting it but i have 2 probs which i hope somebody can help me with......

The first is when i connect the stalk the indicators do not operate i can switch throught the functions on the obc also i can flash the headlights i have tryed changing the relay just incase this was the prob but still no joy when i reconnect the old stalk the incdicators work but it does not have the obc function on it is there something i need to do or do you think the stalk is fcuk-ed

The second is that the obc display is very dim is this normal or do i need to change bulbs or something also how do i change from km/h to mp/h is this possible (technically this is 3 problems but whos counting)

hope these problems can be resolved as i am about to put it back together

hiya mate, yeh the dullness of your computer is a back bulb which i recently fitted into mine about 2 weeks ago, it takes about 30-45 to do, a bit fidly but its doable especially if i can do it, bulb cost about Ԛ£22 from dealer unless sombody one the zone may have one you could buy but i would recommend a new bulb because you dont wanna be doing it twice, as for the indicator thing like you say maybe the stalk is nackered or maybe not earthed??? not too sure on that one but im sure there will be somone who knows on here, hope this helps

cant help re the stalk but the bulbs are easy to change there are several links on the zone my bulbs came from a local rs components...60p each they wire up in series (if one bulb blows it breaks the circuit and knocks out the other one)it is easy to do......you change from km to mph by pressing the small button on the bottom left of the obc during set up and when you change all the other settings

No expert but is the code plug in the back of the obc unit the correct one for your car ie 325 for a 325 ,320 for a 320 etc not sure how much the readiongs would be out if the obc from a different sized engined car to what its now in Confused myself then

the obc is suprisingly accurate compared to the speedo and is probably telling you your true speed...as for the mpg mine is always out ...check the code plug there a many types but when you get it i found that it never worked correctly untill i disconected the battery and re connected it my 318 is a m40 engine and has a typ 4.02 plug in the back of the obc
they are still available from the dealers but cost around Ԛ£25
