Perhaps someone out there can help me. My 325i 1988 has developed an intermittent misfire. I have black smoke coming from the exhast and no tickover. If I stop the car then restart it sometimes it clears. I have changed the HT leads,the stark plugs and air filter. I have taken the car to be tuned and was told that the head gasket had gone but I only had it changed 14 months ago. Approx 6k miles since then. I have no mayonnaise in filler cap, using no water and no oil. Any ideas?
