One of my headlights has a crack so I was looking to buy new, But is it possible to replace the lenses and chrome rims? Does anyone know if foglight lenses can be bought instead of replacing the whole unit?
I've been looking at GSF's website and there are parts listed as Headlight which are too cheap to be the whole unit but I can't make anymore sense of it than that!

Think the chrome rings are available seperately, and the front glass comes complete with the reflector part to which it is bonded, known as an insert.
Think the foglights only come complete.

you can remove the glass, it just takes a bit of time, a stanley knife should do it, be careful though,

i found a site don`t think it was the one i saw before on here but looks good anyway

Here are the part numbers listed on the ETK for the headlight inserts:

HIGH BEAM INSERT 1 63121386407 /8
LAMP LENS HELLA 1 09/1988 63121386715 /6

Not sure if they're available from the dealer as separate parts, though.

Its worth getting new adjusters as well because to get the old ones out the best way is to use two pairs of pliers if there seized and it makes a mess of them.

And give them a good dose of copper grease.

before you remove the headlamps remember to mark up a wall and do not move the car. saves a trip to get them aligned.
