Does the rear seat from saloon fit cab ?
Moderator: martauto
Nope.
in last month's Total BMW mag there was an article about a yellow E30 coupe the people behind E30Partz.com had done which had read seats from a cab fabricated to fit. They'd used the rear side pods from a cab too as the seatback is not as wide in a cab...
Can be done but no idea how much work is involved and probably not worth it IMO...

that is possible and not too hard, but it is not so easy to fit coupe seats in a cab as he wants to try.in last month's Total BMW mag there was an article about a yellow E30 coupe the people behind E30Partz.com had done which had read seats from a cab fabricated to fit. the good news is the mounting points are the same from coupe to cab, but as mentioned several times above the cab rear seat is narrower, that said it is only foam coverd in cloth/leather so i would not think it too hard to shave the foam and refit the cover assuming your gran is handy with the sewing machine!!

he knows that!! thats why he needs a good passenger side from Europe to replace his worn drivers side!!your more likely to find a better passenger one in the UK than to find a better drivers one in Europe. Remember all drivers seats are worn the most LHD or RHD.
if its only your driver seat in poor nick then why not try having it professionally recovered?? I believe you can still buy the correct material from BMW and it should be cheaper then buying a full set of leathers

Yes thats what i meant ... Think i may have made it sound the wrong way round!!!!
Im after a grey interior really but in no hurry. Mines the cloth check interior so would be nice to change it, but may be better just to get mine recovered, as all the seats are in good nick.
