hello all

i broke down last night :(
my car has been playing up now and again for a while, keeps cutting out but will always re start! last night it cut out and wouldnt go again.
so i called the amazing aa out, and he said that i have a problem with either my coil or crank sensor as there was no spark.
so today i got testing them and both appear fine.
so the next step i thought id dissconnect the battery and hopefully reset the ecu
which resulted in it starting up.
so my main question is would people agree with me to say that the ecu is playing up?

Change the DME relay as a 1st port of call, will and can cause all sorts of gremlins, buy a NEW one though ! ( white one under the cover on the n/s inner wing near AFM )

any alarm/immob fitted ?

ECU is one of the last things I'd suspect, although it is definitely in the suspect list!
Very unusual to have an alarm with no immobiliser.

its an aftermarket alarm so nothing special!

hopefully when i get hold of the relay that will cure it!

just seems strange that dissconnecting the battery it started up again fine! thats what made me think an ecu fault
