I have just changed a timing chain on my 318 IS & put everything back together. Does any1 here know the best way (procedure) to bleed the coolant system. How many litres of water+antifreeze will I need to fill the radiator?
Many thanx

From what I was doing last night (buying Anti-freeze from Halfords!) the car holds 6 litres of coolant fluid; 3 of which needs to be Anti-freeze.
The bleed screw is the round black thing with a cross on it next to the header tank part of the radiator. Fill the system, run the car and open the bleed screw a little bit to let any air out of it. Make sure you've put the radiator cap back on it though when you do this.
Drive the car for a while then go back and do the same again.
This should sort everything out.

:yeahthat: about 60/40 for summer. let it tick over at about 1500 rpm and let it run for about ten mins or so undoing the bleed screw on the thermostat housing every couple of mins.

Psssst! Elliot... it ain't on the thermostat housing on a 318iS... it's on the top of the radiator like I said...
