Is this the replacement if I try and drill it out.

It's not absolutely essential to fit the screw, but for what it costs, it's worth getting a new one.
Drills out easy enough, although the mechanic's quick way is, with the caliper bracket removed, to give the disc a single smack outwards with a large hammer on the side of the disc opposite the screw.

I broke my disc with that method (but it was being replaced anyway)

hit the head of it with a similar size punch a couple of times to free the threads then hammer in a slightly larger torx bit and should undo no probs

I have previously made a screwdriver thinner at the end wedged it in and undone it that way when it has become rounded, I usually give it a tap with a hammer to make sure it's wedged then just unscrew it. or drill it out like you have previously mentioned

Hey I just used the oversized torx head and butchered it into the hole and used my torque wrench on the bit (over the top I know) and with the length of it I was able to jam it on the wheel arch thereby having both hands free one to push the torque wrench onto the bit and the other to turn the disc. Its off now. Another case of Barney Butchering.

So what about removing this control arm and track rod end.
