the last three times i have started my car [325] i get a strong smell of petrol, i cant see any leaks but it stinks by the air filter area. Any ideas ?

mine was the same turned out there was a small hole in the rubber fuel line

Yes, check the fuel hoses... they run not so far away from the airfilter area, also the fuel pressure regulator has a return pipe which goes back to the tank... this is right above your alternator and could cause a nasty fire!!

Common problem. Small hole in the pipe leading to the fuel rail. Easy to fix. 8mm fuel injection hose from your local motorfactors, and two Jubilee clips. Do the other hose while your at it.
