just having a look to see how to fit new goodridge hoses to the brakes
having a problem with the rear
looks like i may need to take off the fuel tank and exhaust to get to the ones by properly
am i correct

Fitted new brake lines from the master cylinder to the rear hubs recently and did have to drop the exhaust but the fuel tank didn't have to come out. The fittings run close to the tank alright but you should still be able to get at them. If the fittings look anyway rusted/coroded you might consider using a brake pipe ring spanner for better grip, if the open ended spanner slips and rounds the edges of the fitting a phone call to the Samaritan's will soon follow

hello x-works
i had a second look under my car and noticed that all the rear break lines look like the titanics bodywork probably does. and the propshaft rubber thingy bit that fastens near to the gearbox is ripped to shreds.
i rang the samaritans and they laughed so loud it was embarrassing when i said i could fix this on my drive.
took it to my local matey and hes replacing all the brakelines , hoses with 5.1 brake fluid and sorting this propshaft rubber thing 230 quid.
that'll do me fine

Good stuff, don't feel to upset about the Samaratins, at least they still answer your calls all I get now is a recorded message telling me they can't listen to any more of my depressing problems and to buy a car with warentee
