obc gong positioning?

Hi,

as the subject question, where is the OBC gong supposed to be mounted? Is there supposed to be a cutout for it. At the moment mine is wedged on top of the OBC relay but it isn't easy to hear around the 70mph mark where I have the limit set :lol:

Also, anyone managed to utilise the gong for headlights-on warning as I need one... killed the battery twice leaving the lights on!

I tried the kit from Maplin but it didn't work for me

just below the OBC, where you find your vents etc, there is a cut away..i will try to post a pic tommorrow..looks like a tiny tiny speaker grill..diffiucult to explain..rather i post a pic

That's not where it goes. It's a bit big to fit there.
It fits into the access panel under the steering column, above the driver's knees.

ahhh.. that seems to make a little more sense. Was thinking that the cable to the gong might be a bit short to reach back to the OBC!
