I am going to be replacing the injectors in my 325i over next few days (when I collect the O rings), but before I do is there anything better I can directly replace them with, and at what cost?

Actually come to think of it how much are replacement ones, etk lists Bosch or Lucas!

Might be worth getting them reconditioned with new filters and sonic cleaning, but in terms of uprating, there's no point in adding more fuel if you're not adding more air.

As in forced induction?

Anything that lets more air in really, so forced induction as you say, head work, cams etc.

If you're not having anything done then there's not really much point in fitting bigger injectors as the engine management will be expecting smaller ones and so you'll end up with too much fuel everywhere in the revrange which won't do your engine any favors :(

Excellent, nice rims!!!, Nice carԚ… love the colour choice!!!!!! IÔš've got a set at home of a 5 seriesԚ… I wanted to convert my hubs on the e30, but proved to much work, plus they are to big 17x10 rears!!!! (2 inch dish) so would have taken serious modification to fit!!!

Black with silver/polished rims are the best!!!!!!!

Yeah injectors cost mega bucks.

Think there's a thing on Emerald's site about brand new injectors not always being perfect in that they could still use a clean to make them flow the same amount so it might be more economical to get yours cleaned? :)

Wilson - I would like TurboBrown says either get yours cleaned up by a Bosch agent or buy reconditioned ones.

I know they are nowhere near you but there is a company in the north east called Teesside Auto Technical Services. They are bosch agents and an independent BMW specialist - they will be able to sort you out. Don't have a telephone number, but they are located in a place called Thornaby just outside of Middlesbrough. I think the main man there is called Eddie, but any of his crew should be able to help you.

I had a Cavalier SRi about 10 years ago which was running a bit dodgy, it just jittered a bit when on part throttle going along at a constant speed. They cleaned the injectors up and had to replace one with a recon unit, cured the problem.
