Hi guys , just got my car back today after some body work .Now all of a sudden i have problems . when i turn the lights on the gong goes ,if i turn the front fogs on the inspection lights on the dash flicker if i turn the rear fogs on the go out plus my temp gauge is all the way up in the red , turned heating full up and it did not drop at all . I'm thinking a ground fault but where do i start. also the fog light illuminations do not come on properly .Can anyone help me please

There are very few earth points on an E30:
On the LH inner wing behind the headlamp.
Above the back/centre of the glovebox.
Under the rear seat cushion, at the back on the LH side.
Engine loom earth on the RH front suspension turret.
There's a couple of other minor ones around, but the above covers most things.

I've just driven the car at night and the two fog light illuminations on the dash are on but when i push the switches they go out.
could it be a faulty temp sensor that makes the gauge go straight to red.
What could make the gong chime everytime i open the drivers door or turn the ignition.
Mr Moore with these problems would you say it is an earth fault
