:? has anyone ever had their rev counter stop working, if so how did ya cure it cos i am totally baffled :oops:

Check the fuse box to start with.

It's not uncommon for it to be a simple blown fuse. This will usually take out a few other circuits as well (boot light for example).

Ta.........thought it might be something more major than that, don't suppose you know what fuse number it is. sorry about bin a pain in the rear but i aint got a fuse box index :oops:

Fuse 10 & 21 are the usual suspects.

check the 3pin connector down by the ECU, there is a sleeved black wire there its the feed for the tacho.

Only on early cars.

On facelift models, it comes through the C101 on the bulkhead.

Last case of no tacho I dealt with was a poor connection in the C101 connector following an engine change. It's a black wire, pin 9.
