Hi all. Has anyone made their own heatshield for use with the K&N57i? If so, can you pass the method onto me please?
Thanx

Demon Tweeks do a polished stainless heatsheild for Ԛ£8.99 that sits around the cone filter with legs that hook under the big jubilee clip. I've got one on my pipercross, I reckon it should fit ok on the K&N too.
I don't reckon it's as good as making a proper compartment for your filter, but that's a ball-ache of a job. It's much better than nothing, it's a peice of pi55 to fit, it's cheap and looks smart too
Hope this helps

just had a thought. Anyone know if I could modify/use elements of my oe airbox to make a heatshield. That seems a lot easier than starting from scratch!! Would anyone have a diagram of the original air intake??

I made the original template from cardboard, transfered it to a sheet of plastic, bent it with a heat gun, and added a spare hood seal section.
