NOOB Help refilling the cooling system 325i

Hi, do you refill the cooling system threw the expansion tank? And when flushing would it be a good idea to remove the thermostat so that the water can move around the system more easier?

when refilling the system after it has een flushed would be - as you said - via the expansion tank!
