2.5 engine year? please help me

iv`e got a 2.5 from a 5series e34 been told it`s 88 but how do i tell is it the numbers on the side ov the block? :D :D

It should have the year of manufacture on the head i think ?

Pretty sure they do.

IIRC they have the 2.5/2.7 cast into them as well.

given that the e34 was built from 88 onwards, then its gonna be the same basic unit as a FACELIFT (plastic bumpered) e30

shoud fit any e30 after an F no probs
