Guys I've just fitted EBC Discs on the front of my is with Pagid Fast road pads :thumb: but i'm geting a weird sort of ticking noise coming from just the front drivers side when driving. If I pick up speed then the noise increases, but upon use of the brake pedal it goes away?? I've asked some people what this is all about and they say it's a common trait of the discs, is this true?? has anyone else had this experience at all with these discs?? It was just the fact that it's only coming from one side that is concerning.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've got them discs on my E46, and they used to make alot of noise.
Also the ebc brake pads i used were abit small and rattled about alot which caused more noise.
I ended up putting on standard pads.

Just wait till they have run in. Also have you put grease on the pads (obviously not the face of the pads).

Are they the grooved EBC discs?

My grooved EBC discs made the same sort of noise and is just the grooves passing the pads. It probably is making the noise on both sides but is more noticeable on the drivers side cause thats where you sit. Definitely worth checking it out though, its your brakes after all.

One thing to check if they are grooved discs, are they on the right way round??
Mine were actually put on the wrong way at first and they made quite a noise! I drove straight back to the garage and complained about the noise and when the guy checked he realised what had happened.

Sorry, but I cant remember which way the grooves should go.

I have EBC slotted/groved discs and they don't make any noise while I am driving normally. They do if I brake hard though, just sounds like the slots/groves against the pads. Not sure what could be causing that noise, sorry.
