the display on mine keeps going on and off any ideas also how do you set time date etc thank as always to the all knowing e30 zone where would i be without yous

The flickering display could be a loose bulb, pull the front of the unit, then unclip the unit and check.
To set the clock hold the hour key until the dot on the display starts flashing then adjust using the hour/min buttons, same wioth setting the date, hold until the dot flashes, if you've just connected the battery, the dot will be flashing already and you can set the clock straight away.
