M40 M.O.T issues

My 1.8 M40 keeps failing the MOT on the emmisions. her co2's are a tiny bit high. is there any switch/screw that can ajust the air/fuel mix? or will i have to look at the lambda sensor? if so, are these expensive to replace? its a '93 with a cat. cheers.

most likely the lambda sensor, dunno about price, ecp dont stock them for some reason, might have to go to the stealers unless gsf do them
